Jatin is Founder & Partner at Samarthya Investment Advisors LLP, an early‐stage investment firm backing AI, DeepTech and DefenceTech ventures across India and the US. With over 20 years of Private Equity, Venture Capital and Financial Advisory experience, he combines deal-making rigor with hands-on support to help entrepreneurs build scalable, transformative businesses. Jatin leads Seed and Series A rounds in AI, DeepTech and DefenceTech sectors identifying emerging technology trends and partnering with sharp, visionary founders to build market-leading ventures.
Prior to Samarthya, Jatin was on the PE/VC investing team at Enam Holdings (a $3 billion AUM Indian Family Office), leading origination, evaluation and negotiation across Consumer, AgriTech, Media, Technology and FinTech.
Dishita Prajapati
Earlier, as Manager in Grant Thornton’s Corporate Advisory & Restructuring practice in New York, he advised underperforming North American companies and their sponsors on financial and operational turnarounds. He began his career at Frost & Sullivan in Mumbai, identifying global growth opportunities for Indian Pharma and Chemical leaders.
Jatin thrives on partnering with driven founders-rolling up his sleeves on strategy, capital-raising, business development and go-to-market challenges. Outside work, you’ll find him on the badminton court five days a week.

Fuelled by a deep interest in emerging markets and India's evolving innovation story, Dishita brings a finance-focused lens to early-stage investing at Samarthya.
She has previously worked with a startup and financial firms, including Paxika and Nuvama Wealth, gaining hands-on experience in research, growth strategy, and equity analysis.
A former state-level lawn tennis player and a certified guitarist from Trinity College London, she brings a unique mix of discipline, creativity, and analytical sharpness to the table.

Hridaya is involved with deal sourcing, research, and portfolio strategy at Samarthya, bringing a strong foundation in economics and data-driven analysis to the team.
Previously, she held research and finance roles at EY India, Ipcon, and multiple policy-focused organizations. Her work has spanned the public healthcare system, equity markets, and global labor research.
Hridaya is pursuing the CFA charter and is passionate about backing mission-driven founders who are building for India’s future.

He has previously worked at Bain & Company and Apollo Tyres, gaining hands-on experience across consulting, business strategy, and manufacturing automation.
With an aerospace background, he brings a technical perspective to the table—bridging the gap between product analysis and market-scale potential.

Karan read law in the UK at Cardiff University and London School of Economics. He started his career as a practicing lawyer in the UK and then India. His defining assignment was the Innocence Project https://innocenceproject.org/ which tested him and also led him to focus on Criminal and Behaviourial Psychology.
His entrepreneurial journey started at 19 with setting up a Cookie Manufacturing Unit for one of India’s largest FMCG players.
Later stints included setting up a services business to aid his family’s construction business which was a leading Project Management Consultancy company based out of Mumbai. He diversified into Sheet Metal Fabrication to Engineering Outfits and Packaging Manufacturing Units.
Over the years Karan has invested and incubated various early stage companies and brings operational, distribution, financial prowess and experience to help companies scale.
His focus of investments over the last 3 years has been in Green Tech, Space Tech, AgriTech and ESG focused companies. With that focus he incubated a company called NutriFresh which has become the largest Hydroponic Farming Company in India. His passion lies in connecting with Founders and unearthing their potential through understanding their innate drive to build businesses.
If you don’t find him at office or work, he most likely would be with his two dogs or travelling and exploring places

Kunal Sawant

Kunal leads Samarthya’s Bangalore office where his core responsibilities are deal sourcing and evaluation, financial modelling and industry research as well as portfolio support.
Before joining Samarthya, Kunal was the founder of Neutron, a B2B platform designed to automate accounts receivable processes. Neutron has been instrumental in optimizing payment collections and enhancing customer experiences, thereby strengthening the financial robustness of various enterprises.
Prior to founding Neutron, Kunal worked as a Private Equity Associate at TresVista, collaborating with a global private equity firm with over $500 billion AUM, focusing primarily on their European deals, contributing to successful investments valued at approximately $4 billion.
Kunal Sawant

In his free time, Kunal loves speaking to founders, working out and even watching UFC on a sunday morning. Apart from that, Kunal loves going on adventure and wildlife trips around India- scuba, surfing, skiing. Having founded his own startup previously Kunal can fully understand the trials and tribulations that founders go through in their journey.
